Hi Docmeister,

well you're always welcome to borrow it buddy, should you buy a bike that needs it!

Hope you have a great a weekend. I'll be mother sitting.

When I had to change out the upper tubes due to my wreck, I just set my air impact to the lightest setting that would get out the allen bolt, and used the same settings to put it back. No torque wrench for me on that bolt. Have had many apart, and never stripped one.

Morning Herkjerk,

one of our members used to fabricate them but I believe he gave up some time ago. A shame as it was a very nice piece of kit.

Terrific write-up on the fork rebuild. I think the workshop is possibly too clean...mmm...did someone break in and steal all of your rubbish and jumble? I can send you some of mine if you need
:-)
I will defo need to do my fork oil, my bike has 28K on it and has not been treated well by previous owners.
Thanks
Gypsy

I own several dirt bikes and have never attempted to do the seals but want to give it a go on my wifes XT as her left fork seal is leaking very bad. Do you need to fully disassemble the fork for just the seals? It seems like taking the entire bottom apart is overkill?

Thanks

I want bikes, bikes, and more bikes.....
