Sometime ago, on one of the threads (I don't remember which) I mentioned that my wife of 2 years and I had separated. As of a week ago, after a final heartfelt exchange of views, we decided not to pursue divorce but to give ourselves the opportunity to make our marriage work as we believe it will. Now that we've looked into the abyss of separateness, finding it totally unappealing, we realize we have way too many good things going for us to be derailed by petty 'old people' irritations. Yeah, we're not kids anymore, not by a long shot! We've learned a lot thus far in our senior relationship, most of it good stuff, fun and encouraging. So we're Together Again, and happy with all that means for us!..

Glad things are working out. As Jimmy Ruffin sang, "What becomes of the broken hearted who once had love that's now departed." Best to keep things together if happiness can be a dominate part of it. Best of luck moving forward.

Thanks guys. I think we'll make it long term after this. We're much the same in many ways, with enough difference in the mix to keep things interesting. Plus neither of us wants to see 'us' fail, so keep Sharon and me in your thoughts as we go forward from here.. Now if we can shake these nasty colds we have in the next few days and get back to feeling top notch again we'll be on a real roll!..
