I used to camp from a previous bike ("79 BMW R100RT) on and around the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had a blast. There (were) several motorcycle only campgrounds near the parkway, and at night you would sit around a BIG campfire and talk to other riders from everywhere around the continent and the world. I met some very pleasant Canadian and European riders at several of the campfires. One of the campgrounds, near Boone, NC, is gone, and I don't know about the others.

Excellent RR and great pics Michael. I think I've passed that vineyard before, but by car. I'd love to do some XT camping over that way....
