Yes...and for anyone seeing this thread, if there's anything that I have posted with a photobucket picture in it (that no longer can be seen), if you mention it to me that you're interested, I will do my best to track down another copy and use IMGUR or other sources to post the photo again for you.

Yes...this just happened to me too.
They apparently want $59.99 for a "3-party" allowed membership (for one year). And they started this yesterday; it's in their new TERMS.
Alexd It's even worse than that, I think. The way I read the plans, you get NO 3rd party hosting (that's what we do here, right?) until you get the $399.99 a year plan?

You are right!
They have 3 accounts: $59, $99, and $399. The first two DO NOT allow 3rd-party.
I see it as a really rotten deal, even if I wasn't cheap...

(that's what we do here, right?) Yes. Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website.
For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, blog, etc. is 3rd party hosting. $399 ??? Dirty pr!cks. At that price, it might be worth it to look into DIY http://www.xt225.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=137470#Post137470I've been doing it for a couple of decades.

..$399 ???
Dirty pr!cks... My exact thought when I first realized Photobucket was screwing everyone who'd ever set up a supposedly "FREE" account with them. Went in, downloaded everything I had stored there, and beat a hasty retreat to Imgur. One way or the other, unless you have $399 to shell out yearly to keep your "FREE" Photobucket account active and useful, dump that load of crap and find someplace new to host the photos you want to share. Imgur works great, but there's other options available if you do some looking. Just don't play Photobucket's game thinking you have to fork over big bucks and go on hosting your photos with them.. Pr!cks!, as Cogitech put's it..
..I'd rather have questions I can't answer, than answers I can't question.. Dr. Phil
