Hello from Durham uk i am now a proud owner of a xt250 2008 model. This rare beast here in the uk has been bought after careful thought, i needed a go anywhere motorbike to haul me and the wife when were are away with our motorhome and for the odd travel to work and back. What made it for me was the low seat height and the great MPG looking forward to a long and happy time with this cracking good bike All the extra mods ie bespoke sump/engine guards in stainless the rear rack were added by the original owner.

1st post did not work maybe because i added a picture of my bike? Anyway here goes again Hello from Durham uk i am now a proud owner of a xt250 2008 model. This rare beast here in the uk has been bought after careful thought, i needed a go anywhere motorbike to haul me and the wife when were are away with our motorhome and for the odd travel to work and back. i managed to find a very well maintained low mileage example off ebay this weekend, the original owner had 3 serows for off road use and thought that it was time to let this on go as it was not being used, it has a bespoke stainless engine sump guard and rear rack What also made it for me was the low seat height and the great MPG looking forward to a long and happy time with this cracking good bike

She's in fine condition having been off-road most of it's life. The previous owner has his own engineering company and he pampers all his toys, 2 other xt225's along with other bikes cars etc. oil change every 1000k!. She has a few marks on the swinging arm but thats about it. I have not had a bike for 20years so i talked the wife into me getting a small light weight 125cc to hang onto the back of our motorhome while we are away on our summer tour of germany austria / italy. But after taking my motorhome to a weight bridge i found out that a bike hanging on the back was a big no no But this lead me to reading about other bikes and using a trailer At 1st i thought of a rieju 125 Tango as i had seen one half way up a Austrian mountain, then a tango 250 but then discovered the real deal in the xt225 / xt250 series so now i am after a Motorlug trailer, these colapse into small parts for storage and look one of the best for loading up. anyway i look forward to a long ownership
