Good luck Eddie- think about a condom & gaffer tape also- you never know when you might get lucky!

(seriously-the gaffer tape could be used for a multitude of reasons)...let us all know how you get on with the condom. wink

...ok, I have re read you have duct tape..so scarp that...tie wraps and a name on helmet (on your head type wink )& a fondue set maybe?

Looks like you have everything you need to start the adventure, including copious amounts of enthusiasm and drive (seen at Ripley)

lots of photos please Eddie- we are all envious

Bailing wire usually comes in a spool. You can find it at a hardware store, a ranch supply or feed store. It's not as thick as a wire coat hanger, so it can bend or wrap around things pretty easily, but yet still durable....cool

Hi Eddie,

just make sure you've got plenty of coffee in your system before making any important decisions, as we know what you're like in the mornings!

Have a great trip mate and keep in contact throughout.

Regards

Hi Ben,

Eddie mentioned Africa whilst he was at Ripley, so I'm looking forward to his reports to say the least!

Ben: A clockwise loop of Europe, then into West Africa, through Morocco. Probably no further than Nigeria, basically as far as I can get without a carnet de passage.

Reggie: Coffee is packed! Don't have a cafetiere though, so relying on instant or shop-bought.

Rod: Condoms are ambitiously on my person anyway. (cautiously refrains from making bad taste joke about using gaffa tape to preclude luck from use of condom)

Can't believe I haven't packed a fondue set! That would have been quality! My frivolous item is my frisbee, which has seen South America and South East Asia already, and is probably the only thing I've never lost! (yet...)

Eddie, have a fab trip.

We have decided to do Morocco with Toby and Cam (eldest child who wouldn't come to Ripley) next year so let us know what it's like at this time of year please.
