I appreciate that the course could be a significant expense for a 15 year old. Try leaning on your parents. It's in their best interests too. Well they told me that I would have to pay for everything that had to do with a motorcycle so. . . I am going to have to pay for it but they would probably lend me that money if I did not have enough money for it when I had a good time to take it.

I pretty much buy all my gear from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Motosport . They have good deals, no tax, and free shipping on orders over $100. Plus, they always have closeout deals....

Well they told me that I would have to pay for everything that had to do with a motorcycle so. . . Right on dude, glad to see Im not the only one in such a situation! payin your own way will make every part of it that much more satisfying - plus no one can tell you you cant play with it cause its your damn bike! a great selection on a first bike - looks awesome! so youve got a helmet - do you have goggles for it? I would suggest Scott if you dont you gotta getcha some ridin boots (MSR VX-1 on rockymountainatc.com for 90 bucks, cheapest good boots youll find) as ankles, feet, fibia, an tibia are the most common breaks/fractures that happen on bikes, right next to wrist and head injuries (unless youre wearin the brain bucket.) dont forget ATGATT! have fun with it man, dont sweat the expensive stuff - itll come with time, but do get you some protective gear. oh and dont ride it on the street until you get a permit/licence - I did and ended up going to court and having to pay about 300 bones in fines an court costs!

Dunno if you have a job or not, but I had a paper round and wash various neighbours cars and used the money from them to buy a battered Honda TLR 250 trials bike when I was about 14. I managed one summer of use on it, did a couple of beginner competitions, before it got stolen and I could not afford to replace.

Well I am hoping to get a job today. I have an interview at Wendy's this afternoon. Is buying gear for the motorcycle dealers a good option. . becuase I have no idea where else to get it. I would like to try on most of the stuff especially the boots. I ordered a leather jacket for a hundred bucks shipped and looks to be pretty nice for the money but I had to send it back, becuase it was to small. Oh and I do have goggles for my helmet. It seems like it has been forever since I have road it. It has been cold and rainy out for at least a week. Now it is sleeting and freezing rain out so they cancled school! I'll let you know how the interview goes as it is about time to go to it now.

Riderman... Go to your local stealership and try on the gear you want to buy. Then get online to buy it....

Hello everyone, I am interested in learning how to change the oil in the bike. Would I be better off finding a shop to do it for me? I have no idea . . so any help would be appreciated!

Riderman,
It is a simple task. Just look at the Manual provided when you first bring up the Home Page.
I am sure there are some postings of how to do it as well. Clean the oil filter while you are at it.
