Greetings all. Earlier this week I bought a very nice '06 XT225. I spent entirely too much on it, but I have a couple of family members who've expressed interest in learning to ride and going riding with me. I have a couple of larger bikes, and we also have an old Suzuki SP200. Mostly I bought this XT so my wife has a bike that fits her better and she doesn't have to kick it to life. smile
I've been riding since I had to lean my dad's Trail 50 up against a stump because it was too tall for me to get on, and my two boys have been riding a little (XR50 and XR80). Both boys are driving their own vehicles now, and having a decent bike that they can ride on-road a ways to get to our local trails is a bonus.
pics when I figure out how to do it...

Welcome to the site, MSgt Greg. Sounds like you've latched onto a good '06 XT225, a bike you and your family should find ideal for the local riding you do.

Depending on what you paid for it, as rare as it is to find a really nice XT225 these days, what we may have considered as an XT225 "costing too much" a few years ago, probably doesn't anymore. Sold my last 225 two summers ago, when well into my 80s my wife convinced me it wasn't smart to keep pushing my luck on local roads and mountain trails, for a lot more than I paid for it.

As far as displaying pics with your posts here on the site, you'll need a photo hosting site to upload our photos to. A lot of us us use IMGUR, a free photo hosting site that takes just a few minutes to sign up for. Once your photos are uploaded to your page on the site, you simply copy the link to that photo and paste it into your post with brackets around the address. Do that and you're good to go!..

Enjoy the site for all it has to offer, keep us up do speed as your XT adventure continues, and ride safely!
