Howdy all - I have for sale a 2003 model Yamaha XT225 aka. Serow - 7800 miles - $2850 OBO.



This bike belongs to my partner, who has owned it since 2010 - prior to that there were two previous owners, the most recent being a family friend.

It runs really sweetly and has always been well-cared for mechanically, but does bare the marks of a trail bike used, well, on the trails - albeit infrequently... (see photos)

In that regard it has covered just under 7,800 miles from new.

Bearing in mind it is now approaching 19 years old, it has stood the time really well, with just some deterioration to the paint on the engine fins and some scuffs on the frame by the foot-pegs, plus the odd scratch here and there from the inevitable drop.

All the electrics work perfectly, and it starts and runs very sweetly. Indeed the only thing which doesn't appear to work is the steering lock (the ignition itself is fine).

It comes with a number of accessories and upgrades, typically what you'd want fitted on these bikes anyway:

• Clark 4.1 gallon tank

• Fat-bar saddles and ProTaper CR High bend bars (and new ProTaper grips)

• DMO wide foot-pegs

• ProMoto Billet rear rack

• Smaller turn-signals front and rear

• 13/50T sprockets (stock sprockets also included)

• Polisport shorty front fender (to avoid the floppy ant-eater look)

Otherwise the bike has the original factory plastics, and the seat is in excellent condition. Black DID rims came stand from this model year on, and it has the factory skid plate installed.

Bike is also registered until August 2022 in California, otherwise you'll need to make you own arrangements if purchasing from out of State.

I'm happy to answer any further questions and entertain all serious offers - I could have listed this for $3000 and done the dance with you, but to avoid wasting time please understand I am looking for very close to the asking price of $2850 OBO.
