I’ve been unable to find a Power Commander for my 2020 XT250. The website looks like they’ve discontinued them. What are some alternatives? I’ve found something called a “MAGNUM EVO-Tech Motorcycle Performance Chip†but the website and product loot a bit sketchy. Have any of you had experience with that? There’s also the “Dynatek Dyna Fusion Fuel and Ignition Controller†which I just found. Anyone running any of this on an XT250?
I’m not trying to squeeze any power out of it, by the way. My goal is to fix the factory lean tuning they shipped it with to pass emissions. I want to cool it down a bit and maybe add an exhaust one day. What I don’t want is to lean it out further by adding an exhaust without dealing with the factory mapping. I’m new to this but I’ve seen where people deal with this “problem†in this way….anyone on an FI XT250 already hit *this* trail?

Mine runs very well just stock. I haven't felt the need to mess with it.
2018 XT250 New 06/12/18. Now at 13,900 miles.

I’ve heard they run a bit lean from the factory and I want to add an aftermarket exhaust. I figured screwing with that probably wouldn’t help make it any richer. That got me researching and it seemed like everyone who started down the intake/exhaust stuff was adding Power Commander to adjust the factory mapping but they apparently don’t make them for the XT anymore.
I doubt I’ll do anything to my 250 at all, though. It hasn’t let me down yet. I just like looking at what other people are doing with theirs.

Intake or exhaust mods will lean it out even more. I don't know how much adjustment is built into the factory fuel map to know what mods it can compensate for, it any.
This shall pass, be still and know. 2006 XT225, UNI filter, ProTaper bars, MSR handguards, SS front brake line, Shinko 241's.

This is one of the reasons I will not own an EFI bike. Use to you could get Power Commanders for most of them, but they cost around $500, compared to a couple of $5 jets for a carburetor, and maybe a washer to shim the needle. Now they are starting to build both cars and bikes that cannot be tampered with in any way. Euro 5 bikes cannot be tuned, and if you do so much as change the exhaust, the computer will sense it and it will go into limp mode. I am a lifelong tinkerer and modifier, and that kind of thing is not for me.
The above is my opinion. Your mileage may vary. 1994/2001 custom built XT225 with a ton of aftermarket parts.
