2007 Yamaha XT225 Great Shape $2,650

My mechanic and I have done some serious maintenance and upgrades on this bike since I bought it with 6,700 miles on it. Yes, I do ride the bike! As a dual-sport it sees a lot of trail action where the bike can handle its own with newer, larger displacement bikes. But none have the low seat-height of the Yamaha XT225. This is a fantastic bike for shorter riders, new riders, older riders (like me) who don’t want to feel like they are sitting on a pogo stick.

Well since two of my riding buddies are on XTs, one an '06 XT225 in pristine shape and the other on a 2020 XT250 I expect to have numerous group photos to continue to share.

I'm most likely buying a Husqvarna FE350S. Still want a true dual-sport and not too keen on moving up to a big-bore enduro that tips the scales at over 340 pounds. Prefer something more nimble like the XT.

But I know I'll be giving up being able to stick my feet down whenever I want. The FE and other related bikes all have pretty tall seat heights albeit they are narrow in the mid section.
