Anyone have a Cigar Mikes center stand for an XT225 that they'd be willing to sell? I understand they are no longer manufactured.

Three things immediately come to mind that can be said about Cigar Mike's center stands:

* First; Mike made a great product for the XT. Having it no longer available sucks.

* Second; those who have one rarely if ever get rid of it. If they do it'll most likely be attached to an XT they're selling, factored into the price they're asking for the bike.

* Third; if someone cared enough to come up with a similar item that does what Mike's center stand did, made of aircraft aluminum, low profile, adjustable virtually universal fit, packaged with everything needed to install it on XTs and other bikes, they'd have a winner right from the start..

The voyage of discovery that truly matters is not in seeking new lands but in seeing with new eyes.

Can't argue with any of that.

I have one, but wouldn't even think about selling it. That thing has likely saved my life a couple of times when I had a flat tire out in the middle of the desert with absolutely nothing around to hold the bike up. I like the fact that it is made of heavy steel. It is overbuilt really, and has doubled as an engine case protector a few times, with no damage. Mike put a lot of thought into the design, it is mounted solidly, better than most stock center stands. That stand is one reason I would not switch to another dual sport bike that has no centerstand available. I have owned 2 first generation KLR650s, and had aftermarket centerstands on both of them.

The above is my opinion. Your mileage may vary.
1994/2001 custom built XT225 with a ton of aftermarket parts.
