The forces of Marxism, socialism and anarchy openly terrorize our streets, threatening to abolish the values and ideals on which America was founded, values enshrined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Radical Marxists inspired revolutionaries show no signs of stopping their assault on these precious hard won truths which lift and inspire true Americans. Seeing leftist politicians, main stream media and privileged high profile 'celebrities' tacitly accepting and approving the lawlessness and mobocracy these radical revolutionaries promote, openly supporting its continuance and increase, is beyond sickening.

America has to choose between two paths. We can embrace and reaffirm the foundational principles that created this great nation of limited government and individual liberty. Or we can go along with those who trash these principles, who teach our children that America was illegitimate from the start, who want to see the majority of Americans subservient to an all-powerful openly socialist central government with no remaining ties to America as she's been known and loved across the centuries.

If sanity is going to be restored and American values upheld, the time to join the fight against the destructive ideology of the radical left is now. This isn't a fight between liberals and conservatives over whose vision for traditional America should prevail. This is a far larger fight over whether America as we've know her continues to exist at all. This is a fight over whether we'll enjoy freedom, peace and prosperity, or like good communists elsewhere we subject ourselves to strictly enforced speech codes, the whims of 'cancel culture', and enforced ideological conformity 'antifa' style.

We've seen this play out around the world and it's never turned out well for those who bend the knee to such radicals. America through the centuries has embraced a higher set of principles that became the envy of the world. Today we're loosing our mooring and drifting with the tide to a lowest common denominator 'big brother knows all' form of socialism that is prepared to ax our remaining freedoms, gut our beloved Constitution and Bill of Rights, and turn America into another failed socialist state among the many already littering the landscape of the world.

Wake up America! We'll either rise up in great numbers and defeat this radical Marxist inspired socialist threat we're facing, or we'll sleep through the fight only to wake up and find America as we've known her is no more.

Excellent ! Thank you for the post and saying what needs to be said ! If Marxist inspired socialism takes hold....I fear something very bad will happen. There are many who will understandably not stand by and watch the very foundations of our country dismantled.

I also fear that our freedom of speech is in grave danger. I have seen instances where people have simply told the truth only to be severely harassed and financially punished because it was not deemed socially acceptable by the radical left. I never thought this was possible in the U.S.. People are staying quiet for fear of repercussions. For instance....if someone speaks out against a school's decision to allow boys who sexually "identify" with being female to use the girls bathroom, and their identity is leaked to the media, could they loose their job ? I think it is within the realm of possibility depending on the company they work for.

Finally I grasp why Nancy Pelosi is as far to the fringe left as she is, and cringe to think that she and her ilk, potentially holding power under Biden, could run our country into the ground like she and her family have been party to running their socialist version of California into the ground.

"potentially holding power under Biden" ? Given Biden's deteriorating cognitive abilities shouldn't that be "potentially holding power OVER Biden" ?

My read is the mainstream news outlets have abandoned responsible journalism as we knew it. Replacing it with propaganda and commentary designed to court a gullible audience. When it becomes reality and a validation mechanism for hatred, violence, destruction and what some believe is oppression things have run off the rails. As Bob Grant said many years ago, "It's sick out there and getting sicker." The phrase has more value now then when it was aired many years ago.

As for America, I believe it's still basically a conservative country and will vote accordingly. Americans will also vote with their wallets. This knits many of us together across political, ethic, age, gender and walks of life. November 3rd should prove this out. That said, a democracy functions best when it's accurately informed. Presently this isn't happening in our news outlets, papers, social media and schools to name a few traditional information sources. Voting is a fundamentally important right and our vehicle for change. History teaches us voting can be influenced by lies, fear mongering, deception, false promises, cheating, bullying, misinformation and propaganda. We need look no further than Germany circa 1933 - 1939 to see how effectively this plays out. America isn't exempt from repeating history or a close proximity of it. I'm not betting against America being savvy enough to make the calls in its best national interests. Keeping the rubber side down isn't a slam dunk either. A laudable goal is trying to create factual awareness and let people draw their own conclusions. Those consumed with hate, mentally ill or ill equipped for adulthood probably will come to different conclusions from the same data. That's life in a country with over 360M people in it. So you lead the horse to water but can't make it drink.

As for socialism, it's the entry level drug to communism. Neither of which has been or will ever be popular in America. Look no further than Venezuela for a good example of socialism. America could repeat this and that should be a wake up call to everyone.

Efforts here are to bring in some facts and figures to promote intelligent debate, corrections, additions, points of view and most importantly - awareness. Awareness is the BIG one. If each of us can create some of that, then it's a job well done. Work in progress I would imagine and an uphill climb. I'm hoping the expression, "For those that know, no explanation is needed and for those that don't know, no explanation is possible." will be an incorrect assumption. As we can all learn, change our thinking and perhaps do a bit better making the world.

Some continued thoughts on the pandemic:

The Democrats deserve credit in the context of their ongoing mission to undo the 2016 election, for immediately politicizing covid-19, as if it were the Black Death, and pinning the blame on Donald Trump. It's impossible to think rationally under the influence of a great fear, and they've instilled one in us. To hear them tell it, the Trumpster, cackling fiendishly, deployed a fleet of military crop dusters by night to spray the virus across the country. They've since done a workmanlike job of keeping the panic alive in the hope of preventing his re-election. Any why not, since it's all his fault? Here are two sets of facts to shed light on the situation:

A. In Colorado, where I live, 1,919 deaths have occurred in six months.

1) Out of a population of 5,759,000, that is, three tenths of a tenth of one percent. According to the CDC, the vast majority were elderly people with 2.6 pre-existing conditions. They're chalked up as succumbing to covid, but only six percent were attributable to it alone. The rest, 94%, were associated with pre-existing conditions. No kid anywhere has died of covid or caused someone else to die of it. For comparison 3,049 people died in Colorado in 2018 in accidents, 2,636 of lower respiratory diseases and 568 of the seasonal flu.

2) Nationally 170,000 deaths attributable to covid have occurred to date, but 163,600 people died of heart disease in 2018 and 149,100 of cancer.

3) We die of stuff, and for the majority of us, covid-19 is unlikely to be the cause.

B. The United States is a republic. Power devolves to the states and to the people and their elected representatives. Donald Trump didn't order the ongoing lock-downs, and he isn't the one maintaining them. Nor is he empowered to rescind them—only the state governors are. Their response so far has been to mandate economic recession, high unemployment, social alienation and denial of classroom education to children. The President has made it clear he wants us to reopen the economy, but our governors are dragging their feet. Create enough misery, fear and confusion, they believe, and Kamal Harris and her sidekick Joe Biden will be a shoo-in in November. I'd call it a plandemic.

Foot Notes: 1) HERE. 2) HERE. 3) HERE.

Much of the violence, cancel culture and destruction we're seeing in America now was touched off by the George Floyd incident. So for that reason (and others) it's significant. The videos below offer some interesting commentary and insight into some things we should be thinking about.

Candace Owens on George Floyd
Candace Owens Fact Checked

I guess that's enough for this posting. smile

I listened to Candace Owens before and believe she is intelligent, sensible and likable but until now was not aware of George Floyd's criminal record. I'm sure the police involved in his killing were aware of Floyd's criminal record and wonder what influence that had on his treatment ? Of course that in no way condones their actions but once again reminds me that the Media is good at suppressing and/or leaving out all the facts.

However I was aware of the other statistics and perpetuated myth that the police target black people. I can refer to Candace Owens statements but would be very hesitant about initiating that discussion myself because I'm white. I would no doubt be labeled a racist, white supremacist or worse. That goes to show the pressure that is being put on free speech as it relates to suppressing the truth. This suppression of facts and truth is a serious problem on college campuses and especially troubling given these young people are the future of our country. Radical left indoctrination has been going on for years and will no doubt have some effect on the election.

Signatures are all verified to avoid ballots coming in from pets, dead people, etc. This is a very time consuming process. And this is one little small county in one state. To expect a national election system of mail in ballots to ramp up to 10 in a few short months isn't realistic. Accuracy and integrity WILL BE compromised. Votes should be handled just like cash when it comes to care, caution, accuracy and security. This could be accomplish but not in the time allotted before the election. There are perfectly safe ways to get people in/out of mechanical voting areas without undo risks. A small percentage of mail in ballots can supplement the voting process. Providing the controls and oversight are in place for honest counts. I think this election will be the most scrutinized in the country's history. We'll see how this plays out.

As for the Biden/Harris ticket mentioned above, the videos below will be enlightening:

O'Reilly on Biden/Harris Ticket
Dinesh D'Souza on Harris

Sadly we're going to see more violence on the way to Nov 3rd and probably even more after the election. Death, personal injuries and the willful destruction of property accomplish nothing. Yet it's allowed to continue.

I agree there is a big problem with mail in ballots Scott, but do want to point out the difference between "mail in ballots" and "absently ballots" which are mailed in. My recent experience may put some peoples mind at ease(somewhat). First ...a few facts about myself. 1) I registered to vote many years ago and have always voted. 2) My voter registration has not lapsed because I keep it current by voting. 3)My voter registration is under my full name but my drivers license is not.

I'll explain.....when the PA dept of transportation went digital/computerized many years ago I could not fit my suffix of "III" (3rd) after my name because I was limited to 16 digits or 2 bytes of information (8 bits each). My father who was the same name (only JR.) was a Greyhound bus driver and he insisted that I have "III" after my name so he could not accidentally get points against his license in the event I get a traffic ticket. (he could lose his job). So I abbreviated my first name by just using my 1st and middle initials ( M J Lastname) and signed my full name on the license. It was never a problem until after 911.

Fast forward......covid-19 hit ! My wife has respiratory problems and ended up in the hospital for 5 days last time she got the FLU. That added to her lung damage so Covid-19 would more than likely kill her. Obviously I want an "absentee" ballot but was rejected because my voter registration (full name) does not match my license name(abbreviated). It took some phone calls with the board of elections and personal attention to get my license linked to my voter registration. Now the ballot will be mailed to me. Point is...."absentee" ballots are scrutinized and have to be requested . " MAIL IN BALLOTS" on the other hand, are mailed out like flyers being dropped from a plane with out being requested by anyone. THEY are the most dangerous to the election !

Trump has unintentionally confused the issue because people don't know the difference between the two and the FAKE news says they are the same. The FAKE news then says Trump is trying to suppress voter turn out because he truthfully pointed out he is against "MAIL IN BALLOTS". Not "ABSENTEE BALLOTS" that MUST be requested and are scrutinized. Hope this helps everyone under stand the difference if they didn't know already..

In two federally funded gun buybacks and voluntary surrenders and State Governments' gun amnesties before and after the Port Arthur Massacre were collected and destroyed, more than a million firearms, possibly 1/3 of the national stock.

A person must have a firearm licence to possess or use a firearm. Licence holders must demonstrate a "genuine reason" (which does not include self-defence) for holding a firearm licence[2] and must not be a "prohibited person". All firearms must be registered by serial number to the owner, who must also hold a firearms licence.

1) Notice self defense IS NOT a "genuine reason" to have a firearm.
I believe self defense is a God Given right and the only way that will be taken away from me is by prying my gun from my cold dead fingers. How could they let that happen. I guess that's why you see the Aussies wrestling crocodiles...they have no choice LOL !

2) Registration means it's only a matter of time before the Gov comes for the rest of them. An unarmed population is an invitation to future oppression and tyrants. Take a look at history !

It is a different culture here, and many other places too. I go to Japan a lot, or did until the pandemic, and have a lot of friends there. There, like here, guns do not remotely enter our daily thinking. I would reframe your question of "How could you guys let that happen ?" to why on earth do you think they are necessary? I can only think of one person who owns a gun, and never saw it out of his cupboard.
Do we need it for protection? From who? The idea that it is necessary for protection may be obvious in the US, but not at all here, and in Japan would be considered very strange indeed. So protection from government? Sorry but that would never enter our thinking as a necessity. I'm not criticising that you do, just stating that the imperatives are not the same here or in Japan at all. I know New Zealand and the UK also very well, and can confidently say that the same applies there.
I was discussing this a few days ago while out on a 4 day bike ride, and asked what would happen if a rider came along to a bike rally that is currently running with a gun in their possession, and all said immediately that the person would be ejected from the event. That's the way it is.

You have a point ! I don't know what it's like in other counties.and I am not versed in the culture, customs, history etc of other counties What I do know is that history shows us when people have been disarmed in other countries, it usually didn't end well for the population. Rights taken away, enslaved, genocide, and inability to protect ones home and family. You mention Japan. Here is a quote from Firearms Owners Against Crime web page.....

"The ancient eastern martial arts are, almost without exception, the creations of people who were deprived of their weapons. Kung Fu, Karate, Judo, and so many more systems of self-defense were created by people desperate to defend their homes and families from tyrannical governments."

Rather than trying to explain my position I refer you to these web pages. NOTE: I have not fact checked everything on these pages but the drift of the matter is spot on. An interesting statement on this page is:

"Australia has disarmed it’s citizens, and a year later the homicide rate in the largest province is up 300%. The burglaries of seniors is “dramatically” up."

Again....I did not fact check that statement but I may now. Anyway these pages sum up my position and why our forefathers incorporated the 2nd Amendment into our constitution. They had the foresight to anticipate future problems ....some of which may be around the corner. The USA is far,far from perfect but is STILL the GREATEST country on earth because of that Constitution.. Please....don't even try to debate me on that !

SEE LINKS BELOW For some reason the 2nd link is not highlighting when I check it so may have to copy and paste into your browser.

https://foac-pac.org/When-A-Population-Is-Disarmed:-A-Brief-History-Of-Tyranny/News-Item/7301

Just a thought......people in your country may one day ask for our help......and we would be there ! You guys are a valuable Ally !

Australia was not disarmed. There are still plenty here. What were removed were the automatics that enabled a quick massacre in 1996, by a conservative Prime Minister, the most right wing leader in a generation, and with the support of the population. Those figures about homicide and burglaries are I have to say are just plain wrong.
The most recent figures I could find were 2017 = 198 gun deaths 2018 = 206 gun deaths. The numbers are very small, and includes suicides, homicides, accidents etc. We have not had a massacre since 1996.
As for Japan, a place I have been many times, guns are almost non-existent. I read a report that said the Tokyo Police Department a year or two ago expended 6 bullets in total for the year, for a city population of 33 million.
My neighbour had some South Africans move in next door, and the first thing they did was put up a tall fence lined with floodlights. Took them a while to realise no one was going to charge in with a gun, and eventually they demolished it all. You'll just have to accept that these are different cultures to the US, a totally different mindset that does not include fear of goverments or armed attacks by anyone. Just does not happen.

Like I was saying......I didn't fact check it but since I have come up with figures closer to yours. Gun deaths was not in that statement but homicide rate was. Still incredibly low though. I found this....

"Between 2016 and 2017, the number of homicide victims across Australia decreased from 453 victims to 414 victims (down 39 victims or 9%). The murder victimisation rate was 0.8%.[13]."

That's crazy low compared to here. Just curious....doesn't Australia scrutinize who it lets into the country ? Wonder if that has something to do with it. If you could rid the whole USA of guns......we still wouldn't have lower crime and homicides. I would bet my very life that crime would rise even further. Homicides would then be committed with machetes and the like. I have theories about that but theories really mean nothing. Facts do. In actuality....there are so many guns and so many criminals , it would be impossible to almost completely remove either short of a police state capable of monitoring every citizen 24 hours a day. If we became slaves to the "state", (communism) then it might be possible to see levels similar to your country but what kind of life would that be ? ( ask someone from China) I'll just say it's a different world over here and IF my theories are correct.....it's going to remain like that regardless of what the politicians say or what measures are taken. I think the best we can hope for is a reduction in crime to some sort of "acceptable" levels..

There is a saying over here....." when seconds count, the police are only minutes away". Gun owners here are much less likely to be victims of crime hence our defense of them. I'll just say " when seconds count, the anti-gun people can wait for the police who are only minutes away". It's their prerogative !

One last thing......I still would not want to live there for one reason. Poisonous critters lurking in the bush ! Quote "Australia’s global reputation as a haven for venomous creatures is well deserved." No thanks.....I'll take my chances here LOL.

OK....last thing. I'll bet there are no Police Unions in Japan. Even if there were no guns here do you think the Police Unions would allow police to be required to run down and wrestle with criminals armed only with night sticks LOL. Just a thought.......
I rest my case :-)

Your statements about guns didn't sit right with me so I checked what the U.S. Department of State had to say instead of getting the statistics from your government's reporting.. Your statements: " why on earth do you think they are necessary?" and "Do we need it for protection? From who?". well here is what the US dept. of state had to say. ....see link below.

https://www.osac.gov/Country/Australia/Content/Detail/Report/37b4538d-f4c9-4880-a7d0-1871c7ba488e

From this report ....again from the US DEPARTMENT OF STATE, I think we can safely conclude that although homicides are very low, and armed robbery, murder, or sexual assault are comparatively low , there is still somewhere between 2.2% and 8.5% chance you will be a victim of crime in the more populated areas. These crimes include physical and/or threatened assault, break-ins, malicious property damage, theft, etc.

Gangs are becoming a problem in Victoria. Youth street gangs including APEX, MTS (Menace to Society), and BDK (Blood Drill Killers) have been responsible for a number of high-profile displays of violent and criminal offenses. These groups are composed predominately of members of the African community; many refer to them as “African Youth Gangs". ”Recent media reporting has highlighted the over-representation of young persons of South Sudanese decent in aggravated burglary, serious assault, and motor vehicle theft".

So the chances of being a victim of crime in the more populated areas are far greater (up to 4x or more greater) than the chances of dying from covid-19, yet look at the precautions we take for that. When we bought our house 20 years ago, the old couple in their 80's said they never locked their doors because they believed they were safe. I know it was true because the house had settled and the locks were misaligned enough that they no longer worked and hadn't for a long time. I fixed the locks and started using them. Within 2 years a couple houses within throwing distance were robbed and numerous vehicles were broken into. Am I glad I locked my doors as a precaution ? Hell yes !

So I have a question for you...... even though the chances are low of you being robbed, what will you do if you are and you happen to be home. Talk them back out the door ? What if the robber(s) decides to assault one of you family members ? What would you tell them afterwards ? "GEE..... I thought we were safe"??? Point is.....even if you wanted to have a gun for protection, just in case, it wouldn't be "Allowable" for that reason because you guys let the government take that right away. You might be OK for now but down the road it will come back to bite you in the a--. Mark my words ! Ounce you let your right to self defense be taken away..............IT"S GONE !

Don't know how many people follow and/or enjoy Victor Davis Hanson. He did a presentation at Hillsdale College which ran about 1 hour. So this isn't a quick view. It's entitled Plague, Panic and Protests—The Weird Election Year of 2020 which is his take on what's going on per the title He's a deep thinker and presents provocative insights. Welcome relief from our mainstream news outlets. None of which I watch anymore. Enjoy. smile

I'm with you on not watching mainstream media news. Talk about blatantly bending whatever they report on to 'fit' the 'liberal progressive' agenda they're pushing. Sickening..

Have to give a listen to Hanson''s Hillsdale College presentation. Thanks for the link..
