I recently renewed my license plate tabs for my 2006 XT225 and 1998 Triumph Speed Triple, and as always I was pleased that the cost was less than for my truck and my wife's car. It made me wonder what others pay in other states and countries. My bikes cost $19.25 each to renew registration, and my insurance company (Progressive) charges me $95 a year for the two bikes. I think that's pretty reasonable. (Liability only on the insurance.)
How much do you guys pay?

My XT cost $35 to register last year. And the insurance (liability only) runs about $85 per year.
I have a Ninja 500 that cost $40 to register last year. And the insurance (liability and uninsured motorist) runs about $300 per year.

In Georgia we have to pay an ad valorem tax along as part of the registration fee. The tax is based on what the State thinks the vehicle is worth. Metropolitan Atlanta residents have to pay the highest liability rates in the country. Nobody knows how to drive, and the Georgia DOT doesn't have a clue either.

Don't even get me started on what my Ford Rangers cost.

Registration on my bike runs about $20 a year. Insurance with GEICO is less than $90 a year.

PS: forgot to add insurance on the bike is nearly full coverage.

Here in Idaho I pay $41 for registration [they doubled it a couple of years ago] and insurance for three bikes is $150, so $50 each, through Progressive.

Living in Taxifornia just received my renewal notice this weekend.

2007 XT225 License Number XXL6097 Make YAMA VIN XYZ Due Date 04/18/2020 Amount due $140

Yep - $140 for a 13 year-old bike that I bought third-hand for $2,000

Insurance is not too bad at $207/year have close to full coverage as my wife is very concerned about the many distracted drivers.

And don't get me going on the cost of gas! $3.49 to $3.69 for regular

Good thing my last fill-up was 101 miles of mixed surface and off-road riding for 1.44 gallons. App 66 MPG on the conservative side.

I don't recall the specifics, my wife handles all that. smile I think registration is about $20/yr and insurance is about $300/yr for full coverage. From what I see here, I should probably re-evaluate the insurance.

Registration is just pennies under $36, $25 for off-road sticker and $11 for street. I pay $200 for full coverage on two bikes and SideXSide with GEICO. Just under $3/gal for the premium gas, only thing I run in my toys & tools. The gas is a rip since regular only cost $2.40/gal.
