No harm in getting some help. I've done so with bike repairs as required. If you have someone knowledgeable and trustworthy then it's a good arrangement for both parties. Please keep us informed.

Ok here is the update.
replaced most gaskets and o-rings (What came with so-called complete gasket set) of which quite a few were leaking. Also replaced plug and plug wire. Sealed a crack in the jug. Adjusted/tightened the clutch. Re-attached the speedometer cable. Tightened chain.Bleed Brakes. Oil and filter change.Tightened/replaced many loose bolts thru out.

Outcome- I havent had a chance to really put many miles on it but it feels great and it is no longer spitting oil on my shoes and pants. I love this bike. I think I did good. You tell me. This cost me the parts/fluids plus 50$ and a 36 pack of bud light.

Did I mention I'm in love with this old bike.

You did good.
What is the procedure for replacing the plug wire?
Does it just screw on?
