Hey all, this is my first update on the bike that was previously garywi’s until about 2 weeks ago. I have two bikes now that I’d like to experiment with LED headlights on. My WR450F has an H6m bulb and runs AC so the upgrade requires a little more forethought and I’ve been putting it off for a while. The XT225, however, runs DC and has an H4 bulb so I went for the Cyclops 10.0 H4 bulb to try it out and I’m really glad I did! I took some before and after photos using identical exposure settings to capture the difference. I forgot to check the high beam before but oh well. Before (low beam): [img:left] https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/k9Db3z...PE=w714-h952-no[/img] After (high beam): I didn’t do anything special regarding bulb placement, I just dropped it in and used the original lock ring and kept the headlight adjustments the same. To get the rubber boot to fit around the fan I had to cut a little bit of it out but that was the only adjustment I had to make.

I also did the Cyclops 10.0 bulb upgrade. I’m really happy with it.

I actually messed up the labels, BOTH pictures are of the HIGH beam for each bulb. Not even sure if the links work at all so someone please tell me if they don't
I took a spin around the neighborhood last night to give it a real test, and I do really like the improvement in lighting, with one caveat: the reflector definitely throws some extra light to the sides of the main beam. I had some neighbors standing on the sidewalk and while the redirected light was hitting them a bit, they didn't seem to be squinting or straining under it so I don't think it's a problem, but it is something I'm going to watch closely as I ride it at night.

Your photo links aren't working. When you bracket remote photos with , that works only if the photo you're linking to is stored as a .JPG or some other common image format.
Trying to link to your Google hosted photos doesn't work because Google doesn't store them in a common image format that's easily accessible.
Download the images you store with Google to your computer then upload them as .JPGs to a photo hosting site like IMGUR (free to use). From there linking them to your page here is simply a piece of cake..
..I'd rather have questions I can't answer, than answers I can't question.. Dr. Phil
