Hi Johnny Welcome from Boise. I think you'll find the XT will be great at scouting around the McCall area .

Per request. The "Director of Finance" is already getting "in the way" and told me today....any further upgrades must be submitted with appropriate TPS reports in triplicate. I responded with something to the effect I could have spent a LOT more for what I was looking for. Cut me some slack! She agreed. I switched out the stock handlebars for Pro Taper Contours and used a Tusk Big Bar riser. Bought a Kenda K270 tire set and switched out the rear tire but not sure yet if I want to switch out the front as well. I had her up to 55 today so thinking I'll switch out the front to see how she feels. My concern is I think its "too skinny." its only a 2.75x21. I am of the opinion I need to go up to a 3.25x21. Thoughts?

Looks like a nice clean bike that you'll enjoy for many miles. Thanks for posting the photos. Ride safely.

IIRC 21 x 2.75 was the stock size. But I think most replacements come in 21 x 3.

Thanks! I'll go up to a 21x3 with the Kenda or something else.

Wider tires aren't necessarily better, particularly on such a light weight bike. If it's sandy the wider tire can float a little better, but its usually worse in mud or gravel.
