I'd say you have particles of rust in the valve body seats. Preventing them from sealing properly.

When you say leaking, how much fuel? And from where? I'll assume the overflow vent but there is a drain screw at the bottom I believe.

The CV carb on that bike has a reasonably good sized float bowl. If the petcock was off, I could see small amounts of residual fuel leaking out from the float chamber for a while. Before the float bowl empties. Above the floats, not so much.

Disconnect the rubber fuel line at the petcock and check for leaks. Operate the petcock between main and reserve. See if any rust particles come out. Collect fuel in a cup for inspection. Good luck.

Its not a torrent of fuel, it leaks a steady stream of drops from the drain hose. I thought it would be the fuel line but I checked it five times and nothing was out of place, the only area its leaking from is the drain hose.
(EDIT): It filled a 12oz can and overflowed a bit. But the fuel was clean and clear.

BUT before I go ordering parts and scrambling to take this carb off, I wanna ask something, it might be a dumb question:

If I were to accidentally overfill the gas tank, would it come out of the drain hose or would it simply overflow and come out of the tank? If I were to accidentally, hypothetically, overfill the tank, could that unseat anything?

(EDIT): Nevermind, I checked the tank and it is bone dry.

I guess I'm grabbing a float needle and set, and I have been meaning to address the rust in the tank too. Looks like I'll have my hands full with this again.

Just to be sure, I need the part circled in red right? Do I need the part in blue too, or will it be okay? Should I get anything else?

(Honestly it feels like this bike is possessed, trying to make me learn how to fix it when it goes wrong. I wonder what will break after I fix this problem)

Yes, the part in red. But if you're removing the carb, better to wait until it's apart to determine what you need. If the float is punctured and has gas in it, that will also prevent it from closing properly and causing it to leak. That doesn't happen often, but it's possible.

If your image URL ends with .jpg or .png it will display embedded in your post. IMGUR should provide that. Good luck with your carb leak.

I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that, for now I’ll take apart my carb and inspect the float needle. I’m hoping its just the rust clogging stuff up and I won’t have to replace things, but I’m prepared to!
Aside from clmaps, screwdrivers and a good attitude; is there anything else I oughta get to take apart my carb? I already have carb cleaner, canned air and a brass brush strand.

Should at least replace the fuel line while you have it off.

Google says that's fuel hose. Don't worry about getting the OEM part number, just get a few feet of bulk 1/4" fuel line and cut to whatever length you need. Stash an extra piece in the tool kit, just in case.

Tygon Tubing is a good choice for fuel line hose.
