On my 2007 XT225, I have logged over 500 miles on forest service roads in the last month. Near Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead, elevations ranging from 4500-8000' Mostly easier terrain but a few technical/difficult sections and trails. Examples include 3N16, 3N34, 2N13, and 2N71.

For example, look up "dishpan springs" on youtube and you'll see 4x4 videos of a crazy section that I had to walk my bike down. The ascent of same section would've been near impossible. When I arrived at the "T6" crossing, I gave myself a well-deserved head dip into the cool stream before visiting "Splinters Cabin" and completing my solo ride.

Any other So Cal XT225/250 riders with experience there? Or anyone willing to ride the area? Great riding weather up there until near Halloween, then it'll be getting too chilly for my bones!

'Tis the season: Transitioning from riding the SoCal mountains (7000'+) to its deserts (<2500'). Plated dual sport is key here in the People's Republic of CA. Season is roughly Halloween to Cinco De Mayo in my book.

Just returned from a great AZ riding trip. Thanks again Rocmoc.
