Hello friends!
I live in Russia, near the big mountains of the Caucasus.
Recently, a little ride in the mountains smile
Teberda Region, 1700 m:

2600 m and the motorcycle stalled frown

I have a Japanese version of xt225we, he does not like height, I work on it smile
View from the pass:

Then we traveled a bit in Ossetia:

And further our way to the beautiful small country Ingushetia:

Yes, these are ancient towers for protection from bandits, near Chechnya.

Great photos. Thanks so much Ivan. It's awesome having you share some of your riding experiences with the rest of us. Your area of Russia is beautiful, and your photos highlight its wild beauty in a way that only someone like yourself, with a bike and a camera, can adequately detail.

Hope you get the carburetor adjustments made that allow your XT to comfortably take you places it currently struggles with. Best of luck to you always!..

Great photos, pretty country.

The bike needs more air at altitude. There are some ways to modify the airbox with adjustable openings so it can get more air.

Now for contrast pictures of the Arctic Russia. Earlier I lived in the city of Murmansk, the Kola Peninsula, near Finland and Norway.

Coast of the Arctic Ocean in different places:

President Putin and the Russian people understand these monstrous equations and their staggering implications far better than most, having suffered and paid the ultimate sacrifice millions of times over for a hard fought victory across a broad battlefield in their own homeland.

I'm proud that some of my own ancestors came from northern Russia. Tough people with a tough inborn moral code. The best, most trustworthy of friends, the worst of enemies if you make them your enemy..
