It is carburetted instead of FI and I'm just looking to get some feedback from members as to whether the '09 or the carb'ed bikes are any good...major or minor issues with that model year...etc. http://dr650rider.blogspot.ca/ 2009 XT250, 2010 DR650

I've owned both types without problems and have covered very high mileages. A mate had a fuel pump go on hers after about 20,000 miles. The bikes are very durable, if correctly serviced (which is an easy task on such simple bikes). Enjoy your purchase experience and the bonding with a new steed. Reggie Team Cabra, Brazilian XT225, Team Ukulele, Japan import XT225, a 250 to be named and loads of 2 stroke Kawasaki AR's!

According to the owner, it is the carburetted version, so I'll assume there is no fuel pump. Good to know about the "high mileage" factor...do you know if the carb is a Mikuni or a Tikkei? Hi There, Mine have all been Japan models so have come complete with the tubeless rear wheels which are much stronger than the US spec option.
