Well I am still waiting on the rubber boot the carb goes into and was wanting get a rebuild kit for the carb too but rhey changed from 2000-2001. The bike is labeled as '01 but when I look at pics of the kits on Ebay the older one resembles the float needle more so than the newer kit unless they are using some incorrect photo?

I wouldn't put too much stock in pictures on ebay. I also am not aware of any differences in the carb, so I don't know why there would be different rebuild kits. Could be that the parts are interchangeable but they look a little different. There are 3(?) styles of main jet that are interchangeable... small hex, large hex, and round all will fit and work fine. That's the only thing I can think of.

The oil drain plug contains an O-ring. Also the cover for the fine mesh oil filter contains two O-rings.

Valve cover or starter o-ring? There's also an o-ring between the intake and cylinder.

1/4" diameter could be the o-ring that covers the bottom bolt in the oil filter cover.

That's what I was thinking too. If that O-ring isn't in there you'll have oil flow issues. Best check that IMMEDIATELY! Very easy to remove that cover for inspection. Two hex head bolts and a 3rd socket head (Allen key) cap screw (O-ring is on that one). Good luck!
