Morning Guys n Gals,

Sorry I've not been AWOL for a bit but work and home events have kept me away however I must share some news about the Mighty Serow!

About a year ago Yamaha Japan advised that due to revised emission regulations, Serow production was to be stopped, well the brilliant news is that the trusty goat hath returned!

OK they don't have ABS (which is a requirement in the UK), so it's unlikely to be allowed in the UK (nothing new there then) but looks great for the rest of the World's current markets.

Here are details of the changes;

Bloody brilliant news.

Hugs to all.

If they switched back to the drum brake of the 225 they would have their anti lock brake. HA HA

Good to hear from you again Reggie. I didn't know ABS was a requirement for bikes in the U.K.

Hi There,

yes for normal production bikes (not short run specials), ABS has become a standard requirement these days.

OK it adds to the cost, the complexity and weight but it's a fabulous safety facility for the less experienced riders or to anyone who's caught in a situation where the electronics may just save the day.

Regards
