Hi All!
So I recently did a whole overhaul of my carb as it was having trouble starting. I sent it off to get professional rebuilt. I got the carb back and it starts up fine, however, it seems as though in the higher revs it bogs or loses power. I tried the 3 Turn mod on the air to fuel screw and it seemed to help a bit but still loses power in the high revs. I definitely think its a fuel issue because adjusting that screw seemed to help and having the carb rebuilt was the only thing that has changed.
Any ideas on what to try next?!
Thanks!

What size main jet does it have?
This shall pass, be still and know. 2006 XT225, UNI filter, ProTaper bars, MSR handguards, SS front brake line, Shinko 241's.

What size main jet does it have? Not too sure. I live in Westchester, NY though. Any idea the correct size jet that should be in there?

It sounds like it could be a damaged or improperly seated diaphragm. Although I would hate to think that would happen with a professional rebuild.
2004 XT225 purchased new in October 2004 0 miles. Current miles over 27,000.

Yes, because the diaphragm only effects the higher rpm's. It would still start and idle fine.

Anytime you have a problem pulling hard at open throttle you should check the fuel flow. Make sure the tank is full and the petcock flows properly and the float level is correct. There is very little fuel pressure and things like fuel line length filters and loops in the line are not a problem at low rpm but they are critical when the bike is using large amounts of gas. If the float-bowl can't fill fast enough the bike will bog.
Just another posiblity....

Have you fitted a freer flowing air filter? If not, what condition is your air filter in? has it been cleaned & oiled?
Current: 1958 Ariel 650 FH, 2014 Tiger Sport1050, 1995 XT225 Serow, 2016 Tiger 800 XRx.
