Hello, I have recently purchased a 2005 XT 225. I haven’t owned a bike in 25 years since I was a kid. I did a lot of research trying to find a bike myself and my father can enjoy. He is a lot shorter than myself and due to age I wanted something light that he would be able to handle etc. I also believe I got a decent deal other than it doesn’t run. Your forum has given me soooo much insight and ideas to help me with this process. My goal is to tinker and learn the insides of the bike during the winter time in Ohio so I may enjoy this bike starting in Spring! Thank you for what this forum does!

Welcome to the site as a new USER. Enjoy and ride safely. Good luck with winter projects. Thanks for the kind words about the site. On behalf of all of us, we appreciate it! Post on!
How's the business climate in Ohio? Some years back we'd travel to Ray's MTB indoor mountain bike park. Pretty cool place.

Thank you everyone for all the information and help! I truly appreciate it. Rays MTB looks amazing. It is probably an hour and a half away and will have to try! Learned something new. Thanks

We had a lot of fun riding in that place. A 5 hour drive for us. We'd get 4-5 riders together and make a long weekend out of it. Hit McDonalds afterwards for burgers and fries. Fond memories. All my photos are on a CD somewhere in a box. Should dig them out and have a look. Let me know if you go out there and how you like it. Last I was there they put in a BMX park in the back corner. Some very good riders in there and just fun to watch. March 2007 - Rays MTB. Jeannie in upper right, Gary, ? and Bob. My good friend Gary isn't with us anymore.
