2 weeks ago, near Ouray Colorado.
The basin is a favorite spot. Mining activity (recent) has led to a moderately difficult road being improved significantly.
Alexd P.S. Initial audio problems for the first 5 seconds or so...

Can't see video! FF 42 for Linux Mint. You should be able to reproduce this problem now. Perhaps you could look into a solution. Around the west end (back) of the basin is the Humboldt Mine and St. Sophia Ridge. The road leading partially up here is a difficult climb. Looking east into Governor Basin. Note jagged shadow from St. Sophia Ridge. We've spent a goodly amount of time exploring in this Basin (XT + 4WD) that to include the remote places beyond where the roads lead. Some said Telluride wasn't visible from the St. Sophia Ridge. In fact it is. You can explore the remote areas HERE if you like. An old steam boiler used in the Humboldt Mine. Have fun exploring!

I took a different route, and probably went to a different "notch" in my attempt to see over the ridge to Telluride (which I didn't see). I also tried to find the trail to the Smuggler mine, but wasn't successful there either.
I think you should throw CHROME on a certain WinXP laptop, and use THAT for similar viewing. (Or, look at Tachyon32 on the DVD disk)

I'd be curious as to the St. Sophia route you took. Also the Smuggler Mine location which is one I don't know about in Governor Basin.
As for FF video, this is an ongoing problem which I was hoping you could lend your expertise on. No harm done if that doesn't happen. Now (different than before) you can see that same issue I'm having. And others with similar setups.

Smuggler mine is on the opposite side...visible from Tomboy. There is a road up to it, but gates blocking access.
Smuggler was burrowing into the mine or mines on the Basin side, which is WHY the name. From the very top trail in the Basin (the one with the small metal house) going up to an open shaft (often filled with snow/ice) I climbed the rock slide on the right, then walked left on the flat area toward the peak and climbed that...looking for the trail over the mountain to the other side. Didn't see it; way too steep.

I'm still trying to get BitTorrent to run (BitTornado won't!) on Linux. I'll try videos this weekend.

Thanks. We did D/L a file using BitTornado after installing it? You may want to post this over in the connectivity forum. Perhaps George has traveled this path and can help. D/Ls are well traveled territory on Linux.

Will do. Regular D/Ls are no problem. Torrents are another story though.

We did a torrent D/L as a test using BitTornado. One of many programs available to do this. An mp4 file of 180 Mb if I recall the size was chosen. It worked perfectly. Not sure why torrent D/Ls aren't working now.

Just a second:
You had a TORRENT file which you "fed" to BitTornado...and then it D/Led the 180mb? As contrasted to somehow just D/Ling the 180mb...?
If you're confused by my question...where did you first get the TORRENT file?
