so, is there some special trick to getting the cam chain back on to the bottom sprocket? I just can't seem to get it on there. I've been trying to let most of the chain go in there and pulling it back out hoping it'll hook back on.

You may not have to, but looks like a lot of trial & error. Somebody who's found an easy way to do it might chime in.

The trick is to keep tension on it so it doesn't fall off in the first place...
This shall pass, be still and know. 2006 XT225, UNI filter, ProTaper bars, MSR handguards, SS front brake line, Shinko 241's.

I did try but dropped it when putting it through the head when putting it back on
I've had half an hour of trying to get it back on by just letting it drop in a bit and pulling it out. No luck so far.

It might have been possible with the head still on, but I couldn't get it. Took the head back off and it wasn't too difficult. Hopefully get chance to get it back together this week, fingers crossed it starts up.
