When we checked in at Tillamook, OR our welcome package included a hand drawn map of the 3 Cape Scenic Drive, with notations on restaurants along the way. Unfortunately the bridge on the north end is out for repairs so we couldn't do the entire loop.

As it turned out that was ok, the temp variance made for some unusual conditions, namely fog.

3 Capes Scenic Loop Description.

So we did what we could, hiding our fingers in our coat sleeves when we were riding through some fog, chilly stuff.

The route was pretty well signed.

You can tell by this photo that there was a lot of diversity in the cloud/fog cover. We were in and out of it the whole trip.

We came across a sand dune day use area. It was pretty cool to see the cloud hug the top of the hill with the sand contrasting.

We have a friend working at the Pelican Pub and Brewery. But we missed him. He has a nice neighborhood in which to work.

Break time scramble.

Coming back on the main highway we stopped off at the Munson Creek Falls.

And then we hit the Blue Heron Wine and Cheese place. Got some wine. The Pinot Gris was delightful.

We didn't buy this.

And then we had some fun with the pups.

Cool. If you've time you should ride along the Nehalem river on Foss Road. There are some campsites too if you want to spend more time. The Google car managed to drive through there several years ago so you can virtually tour it.
