Had to lean it over on its side to replace the sump plug washer, I know you should replace each oil change, but I had re-used it about 6 times and it was leaking, so without dropping the oil I replaced it.
Then decided to drop the oil in its bigger barn companion, used an old enamel bowl I had lying around, which had a hole in it, Oil everywhere!

I installed a Turn Signal Beeper today. I don't know if it's because I'm over 50 or what, but I find myself leaving the blinkers on way too often! These really work, they are are inexpensive ($5.49 for the smallest beeper and a bridge rectifier at Radio Shack), and are pretty easy to install.

Vic,

I see you have a 16T front gear. What are your results with this upgrade? Did you have to install a larger chain? Which brand of gear did you install?

I believe that would give you increased top speed.

thanks,
John

A 16T front sprocket can usually just fit with the stock chain. The advantage is for road people that prefer less RPM at their usual cruising speed.

The trade-off is less power against wind and hills. It's not unusual for the stock gearing on the same bike to go ultimately faster in top speed, depending upon the conditions.
This is true on many bikes (and cars with geared up rear-end gears).
