Saw this hanging on the bulletin board at the Post Office this morning. Found it both inspiring and disturbing. The very things the Government's Code of Ethics says are 'central' to every level of Government Service are in great measure no where in evidence in what we see going on in Washington..



Read through these and you'll see what I mean. If for some reason you don't, read them again, slowly, carefully..

Wow! Those in Washington have more or less broken ALL of them .
I wonder if they haven't seen these, somehow think they are following them, or, and I think this is the most probable, do not care to follow those silly rules, made for someone else of course!
The only cure is to get money OUT of politics!

A copy should hang in the Oval Office and the occupant should adhere to the rules or be run out of office!

Government ethics is an oxymoron.

It's easy to make a poster and hang it up. Much more difficult to put those words into practice. I agree with peejman.

And violation of that Code of Ethics is why I believe 95% of those in Washington should be prosecuted. Dereliction of Duty. When they took office they swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Too many of them are working actively to repeal everything the Constitution enshrines.

Wow. That sounds like a fairy tale. It has certainly not been that way since I have been on this earth, and I doubt it ever has been. There was corruption even during the early years of this country. What is going on now is beyond any kind of description I can think of. Many politicians are actually campaigning on promises to destroy the Constitution. And what's even more scary is that people are voting for them. The sad fact is that most people, especially young people, don't even know what the Constitution is. They do not teach it in school anymore.

Speaking of fairy tales, public hanging might not be a deterrent but absolutely eliminates repeat offenders.

Filmmaker Ami Horowitz recently went to Yale University and asked students to sign his 'petition' to repeal the U.S. Constitution - and they actually did it! Ami then spoke with Glenn Beck on "Glenn TV" and explained this wasn't just a few people - 65 percent of those he asked actually signed the 'petition'.
