^Too bad about that. I was wondering why it seemed so readily available. Still it wouldn't hurt to ask them. I found it by searching for yamaha 3rw-0795-00. There were a bunch of other hits, many listed as out of stock but I didn't wade through them all. Perhaps there's something to be found there.

I realized that the kickstart kit instructions with translated Japanese and obscured part numbers mentioned by whatwobbly is a pdf with overlaid translations. I moved them around so that you can see the numbers here (XT225 kickstart.pdf).

P.S. I noticed that the instruction translation states that the item 18 O-ring should not be used after model 5MP. I'm suspicious that 5MP is 2001-2007 and that the text should read "not be used on model 5MP" or "not be used on or after model 5MP" or "not be used after model 4JG". I'll update the text if a concensus can be reached here about it.

I have a kickstarter on my XT225. I got it a LONG time ago. I believe it was intended for a TTR-225, but someone discovered it fit the XT, and started selling "kits" with all the parts necessary to install it. As far as I remember, it bolted right on. I had to remove a plug from the case cover and install an oil seal. It worked just fine, but I haven't used it in years. My knees are too messed up now to use a kickstarter. I remember even back then they were hard to come by. I seem to remember them being sold by a place called boats.net.

I found this http://www.2040-parts.com/yamaha-xt225-kick-starter-kit-new-complete-start-3rw-w0795-00-i297689/ I have no idea how old it is.

The above is my opinion. Your mileage may vary.
1994/2001 custom built XT225 with a ton of aftermarket parts.
