Yeah, works much better around here now. Took a hit at highway speeds, but I like to stay in the dirt anyway!

That looks killer!

I absolutely love the look of that bike, with the round headlight and no fairing. It looks just like a '70s "dual purpose" bike with that seat and tank. If I have one complaint about the XT225, it's the "modern" look. I used to have a 1979 Yamaha DT250 and a 1979 Honda XL250. They looked like proper motorcycles, and the seats were actually comfortable to sit on for more than a few miles.

Too bad you don't still have those bikes, Jerry, ..especially the Yamaha DT250!


I was tempted a few weeks ago to purchase a '79 that showed up for sale. It was about 95% original, needing very little to have it essentially 'as new'. At that time I had 'lucked into' finding the '02 XT225 that I purchased instead, and the 2-stroke Yamaha enduro idea went back up on the shelf. Sweet bike though, especially if you're into 2-stroke machines..
