Dirt Bike Boot Camp - 04/08/19 10:55 AM

Dirt Bike Boot Camp yesterday. The little XT225 did great and my skills improved dramatically! Rode 1-1/2 hours to get there and rode home at the end of day.

Thanks!

I’m just an old street rider, and needed to learn some dirt skills.

The Dirt Bike Boot Camp:

Dirt Bike Boot Camp

Really great training, and hosted by the Charles City Dirt Riders, all Hare Scramblers riders. They train everyone from tiny tots, to seasoned dirt riders, with several training tracks, a motocross track (great fun learning to rail high banked turns), and single track woods trails.

We ended the day riding the shorter single track woods trail, and even though I was exhausted my skills were so much greater than before.

Well worth the cost of training.

The inverted brake rod was good to have in the deep muddy ruts on single track. Nothing hanging down below the axle to worry about.

Keep an eye on the oem rear brake linings, they get wet, they fall off.

Nice, looks like a great opportunity.

Getting some training from good riders is a great way to learn. And avoid a lot of pitfalls and perhaps an injury. Nice to see this type of education offered for those interested. Enjoy!

This looks like a blast! It's about a 3.5 hour trip for me, I might have to sign up for a class!
